Judges type comments and record audio from the same device, and both reach the competitor with their results.
Placements and ties
Placements come from the ranking rules you set for the competition, applied identically everywhere — two sections can never resolve the same tie differently.
Judge scope
A judge can be limited to particular days or sections, with a separate exclusion list. That is how a conflict of interest is handled.

Scoring continues and syncs when the connection returns. Score sheets can also be downloaded, filled in offline and imported back.

FAQ
Questions
How much does Comp World cost?
A once-off $99 NZD (excl. GST) per competition. There is no subscription and no ongoing fee, and you keep 100% of your spectator ticket sales. A small service fee is added to each competitor's registration and to each spectator ticket, and is paid by the buyer — not by you.
Can several judges score the same section independently?
Yes. Each judge works on their own device and cannot see the others’ marks. You choose how the marks combine — a combined total or an average — and how placements are ranked from the result.
Can a judge be limited to certain sections or days?
Yes. Each judge carries a scope — everything, specific days, or specific sections — plus a separate exclusion list, which is how a conflict of interest is handled: "day two only, except sections 2 and 4", with a substitute judge scoped to exactly those.
When do competitors see their scores?
Only when you release them. Scores stay private while a section is being judged; releasing a section pushes its results, placements and report sheets to every competitor in it at once.
Can judges leave comments or audio feedback?
Both. Judges can type comments against a performance and record spoken feedback from the same device, and both are delivered with the results in the competitor’s app.
How are ties handled?
Placements are derived from the ranking rules you set for the competition, applied identically in every section, so two sections can never resolve the same tie differently.
What if a judge’s device drops off the network?
Scoring continues and syncs when the connection returns. There is also a fallback: score sheets can be downloaded, filled in offline and imported back into the competition.
