Build your whole competition before you leave.
Set it up in Comp World while this season keeps running on your current platform. Nothing is charged until you publish.
Nothing gets re-typed An entry arrives paid, in the right section, with the music already attached. The running order is built from those same entries, and the results come from the same scores. No handover means nothing to reconcile afterwards.
What hosts said when they moved
- Paying through the off-season One fee, per competition
- A percentage of every entry fee You keep the entry fee in full
- A bigger year, a bigger bill The same fee at forty entries or four hundred
- Nobody to call at 9am on a Saturday 24/7 support on comp day
- Built for one kind of competition A multi-day programme, every style in it
Your data does not come across.
Nobody’s does.
We have never seen a competition platform that can hand its data to another, and we are not going to pretend we are the exception. Send us last season’s programme and we build your competition for you — before you have paid anything.
What moving actually costs you
- Send last season’s programme $0
- We build your competition $0
- One hour on a call, your comp on screen $0
- Publish when you are ready $99 excl. GST
About an evening if you would rather build it yourself. Next year you duplicate it and change the dates.
Common questions
Can you import my data from my current platform?
No — there is no automatic import, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise. What we do instead is build the competition for you: send us last season’s programme or section list and we will set your sections, age groups and fees up in Comp World before your demo call.
How long does it take to set up a competition?
About an evening if you do it yourself, for a competition of ordinary size — and less than that if you send us your programme and we do the first build. It is a one-time cost: the following year you duplicate the competition and adjust the dates.
Do I have to leave my current platform first?
No. Build your competition in Comp World alongside the season you are already running. A draft competition is free and stays free — you only pay when you publish it for people to enter — so you can see the whole thing working before you commit to anything.
How much does Comp World cost?
A once-off $99 NZD (excl. GST) per competition. There is no subscription and no ongoing fee, and you keep 100% of what you charge — every entry fee and every spectator ticket. A small service fee is added to each competitor's registration and to each spectator ticket, and is paid by the buyer — not by you.
What happens if something goes wrong on competition day?
Support runs 24/7 on comp day, so there is someone to reach. Most of the time you will not need to: before the first performance, one click downloads every competitor’s music onto the playback laptop, where it plays from local storage — so a Wi-Fi drop mid-section does not stop the music — and the live tools reconnect and resync on their own once you are back online.
Is there training or a manual to work through?
Nothing you have to work through. Each on-the-day tool — the music player, the judge tool, the stage display — has a printable quick-reference sheet: one job per sheet, printed double-sided, with what to do when something goes wrong on the back. Hand a volunteer the one for their job. The host side itself is the part switchers tell us explains itself, so the hour on the demo call is usually all the training anyone wants.
